About NSM Trust

Our Trust was established in the year 1952 by true visionaries of their epoch, Smt. Chaitanyaben Parikh and Smt. Indiraben Shah.  The foundation stone of modern education to start a Bal-Mandir namely CBT, to impart primary education, in Gujarati medium, was laid by the legendary hands of, Late Shri Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, who was the second President of independent India. The growth picked up threads with RBT School, imparting Secondary and Higher Secondary education, till SSC (std. XI then). 

Despite the odds, Nava Samaj Mandal and its management with a positive attitude helped them steer through rough weather and stay focused on their mission, namely nurturing young minds, inculcating values and thereby serving the community at large.

In the year 1973 the school was renamed, Lions Juhu High School. Subsequently, in 1977 she was renamed as Smt. H M N English High School (SSC Board).

Keeping abreast with times, in the year 2013, the School was accredited and was then affiliated to the ICSE Board.

In the year 2020, the School name was changed to ‘NSM School’.  With the passage of time, the institution evolved and as a natural extension to their teaching activity, we started the Nitin Godiwala Junior College of Commerce, in the year 2006 and the Nava Samaj Mandal Degree College, in the year 2014. The institution is affiliated to the University of Mumbai for the graduation courses of BMS, BAMMC, B. Com & BAF.
